Miha hails from Belgrade, Serbia, where he began his tennis journey at the age of seven. A standout player from an early age, Miha consistently ranked among the top competitors in his country, achieving first place in U12, second in U14, first in U16, and third in U18 national rankings. His exceptional talent earned him a spot on the Serbian national team three times.
Miha's competitive spirit shone through as he participated in numerous Tennis Europe and ITF junior tournaments. His accomplishments include winning one Tennis Europe tournament in singles and three in doubles, along with reaching the finals in two additional singles and doubles events. He achieved his highest Tennis Europe ranking of 95th in U14 and 347th in U16, while he held a ranking of 1628th in ITF events.
In pursuit of both athletic and academic excellence, Miha moved to the United States to play college tennis at the University of New Orleans, a Division 1 school in Louisiana. During his four years on the team, he played a pivotal role in leading the program to its first-ever Southland Conference Championship in April 2022, a feat they repeated in April 2023. Miha’s individual accolades include selections for the First Team All-Conference in 2022 and the Second Team All-Conference in 2023. His commitment to both academics and athletics earned him the title of ITA Scholar Athlete for four consecutive years (2019-2023).
Miha recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Computer Science, achieving a remarkable 4.0 GPA. He previously earned his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in May 2023 with a GPA of 3.97. Throughout his academic career, he was recognized on UNO’s President’s List for every year from 2019 to 2024.
