William Teplen
William brings over twenty years of playing and ten years of teaching experience to Milford Indoor Tennis. Originally from New York City, he later moved to Fairfield, CT where he was the number one singles player and captain of his high school tennis team at Notre Dame Catholic High School. He attended the University of Miami where he studied Film and English. William has taught at Trumbull Racquet Club from 2013-2020, where he ran their ELITE Junior performance program. He also ran their 14-18 USTA Junior Team Tennis teams, which won four state championships during his tenure. In addition he also brings his coaching experience as the Head Coach of the Boys Varsity Tennis Team at Trumbull High School from 2018-2020, and worked as the Assistant Tennis Pro at Easton Racquet Club in 2019. He currently is the Director of Tennis at The Farms Country Club in Wallingford, CT during the summer season. William has a true passion for the game of tennis, which has been a lifelong love of his ever since he first picked up a racquet at the age of four.
